🐣🌼 Easter Greeting's 🌼🐣

Updated: Apr 24, 2023

Wishing all our members Easter, Passover and Ramadan Greetings. ✝️✡️☪️❤️

Easter is one of the principal holidays, or feasts, of Christianity and this year falls on Sunday 17th April. It marks the Resurrection of Jesus three days after his death by crucifixion. For many Christian churches, Easter is the joyful end to the Lenten season of fasting and penitence.

The tradition of Easter eggs originated in a Pagan springtime celebration. Eggs symbolise new life for Pagans, and so they were the perfect object for spring. However over time, Christians caught on to the symbolism and took the eggs and their shells to represent Jesus emerging from his tomb on Easter Sunday.

Passover is a religious holiday or festival noted by ceremonies each year, mostly by Jewish people. They celebrate it to remember when God used Moses to free the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, as told in the book of Exodus in the Bible. Passover is celebrated with a series of rituals. Each ritual symbolises a different part of the story.

Passover starts the evening of Friday 15th April and ends the evening of Saturday 23rd April. During the entire duration of the holiday, it is forbidden to eat leavened food products (such as bread, pasta, etc.).

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community. It begins the evening of Friday 1st April and ends the evening of Sunday 1st May.

The pre-sunrise to sunset fast lasts anywhere from 10 to 19 hours depending on where in the world you are. The fast entails abstinence from eating, drinking, smoking and sexual relations to achieve greater “taqwa”, or consciousness of God.

Whatever your chosen celebrations, stay safe and enjoy. 🌼🌼🌼
