On the 19th March 2020 just before Great Britain was placed into a full lockdown The Virtual Tavern was opened. Designed to be a space that helped people combat mental health struggles from the pandemic, help those in isolation alone combat loneliness and be a safe and creative space for people to enjoy the one thing that us Brits love, a good old fashioned night at the pub.
An explosion of interest meant those Virtual pints were being pulled at a rate that no one could have ever imagined. Now a community of tens of thousands.
Led by Neil Greenwood (Landlord) and Lorraine Robinson (Landlady) the Tavern has become the place to be no matter where you live, what time of day, or what your interests are. There really is something for everyone.
With a catalogue of entertaining interactive quiz nights, live music, comedy, competitions and a community of people with one common goal, to be kind, supportive and have a safe online environment.
Today The Virtual Tavern is more than an online group, it is a community. Across the globe people have come together, laughed, cried and just been there for each other. Relationships have formed that will last a lifetime.
