Happy Chinese New Year 🧧

Chinese New Year is of the most important holidays in the Chinese calendar. The Lunar New Year is the beginning of a 15 day long festival of celebrations in China and among Chinese communities around the world.

The year of the Tiger is coming to an end - as people around the world prepare for the year of the Rabbit.

The Rabbit is the fourth animal in the zodiac sequence of 12, and is seen as the luckiest.

People born in the year of the Rabbit are believed to be vigilant, witty, quick-minded and ingenious. The animal is also said to signify mercy, elegance and beauty.

Lion and dragon dances, eating traditional food including dumplings, beautiful lantern parades, the lighting of candles and enjoying firework displays are all ways the festival is celebrated.

Wishing all our members a happy, healthy and prosperous year ahead
