We just wanted to say a HUGE 'thank you' to all those who came to the last ‘Tavern on Tour’ event in Manchester, who kindly donated clothing and blankets etc.
These have now all been taken to Lifeshare, so they can be distributed to the homeless in Manchester.
Lifeshare are Manchester’s oldest charity dedicated to providing essential services to people experiencing homelessness and poverty. The charity has pioneered the development of new initiatives such as rent deposit schemes, sexual health and drug awareness that are now widely spread.
We were also able to purchase some sleeping bags and emergency pouches, that act like a foil and a waterproof bag, that can be put over sleeping bags or clothes, to keep rough sleepers warm and dry.
